 Returning to Manila for 25th Anniversary

I would telling a big lie if I told you that 25 years ago when we went to Manila for a summer outreach that I knew it would turn into a Church of almost 40,000 members. In my wildest dreams I would have stretched out and said that we would fill up a 5000 seat auditorium- someday.
In the years following our initial trip in 1984, we would come back at least once and sometimes twice a year. As each year passed, a strange thing began to happen. My time slowly transitioned from a missions trip to times of refreshing for me and my family.
Now in 2009, I am simply honored and humbled to be apart of such a special people and a special work of grace. There are too many people to thank, starting with Steve and Deborah. Then there is Al, Joey, Ferdie, Jun, Manny, Connie, Bong, Lito, et. al. etc etc.
My prayer is that what has happened in Manila will somehow repeat itself in Nashville and in countries around the world. May the miracle in Manila become a blueprint for disciple-making churches in every nation.
I look forward to being a part of this great celebration July 24th.
