Gary V Benefit draws media attention in Nashville Posted by Rice on May 30, '07 3:41 AM Tonight we enjoyed a real treat with Gary Valenciano and his wife Angeli along with several other friends joining us for dinner at our home in Nashville. Pastor Steve Murrell who had just flown in from Manila, dropped in briefly and we all commented on what a small world it really is.   The concert that was held at Bethel in Brentwood on Sunday night, was in fact a benefit for the victims of the disastrous storms last year in the Philippines. Our newspaper, The Tennessean,  the did an excellent story on the event. What was most exciting was how the conversation at dinner centered around reaching the nations of the world in our lifetime. Whether through the arts, entertainment, business, sports, or the simple preaching of the gospel and making disciples, the focus of all of our lives must be to bring honor to the name of Jesus. In fact, the American couple pictured with us are wonderful Christians who have a heart to help minister to the street children in the Philippines.
